FRIDAY AFTERNOON OPEN SEW
This is a free open sew for children 8 to 12 who have been to a previous class or camp at SewGreen, or have participated in the SewGreen/A-Plus after-school program at Beverly J Martin school. It's a self-guided time, with supervision, to invent and experiment with creative projects, improve sewing skills, and meet new friends. Preregistration and confirmation of attendance are required, so we know how many kids to expect. Every Friday 4 to 5:30 PM.
SewGreen invites middle and high school students to participate in a hands-on learning experience based on Style Engineers developed by teaching staff at Cornell University and others. You can check out Style Engineers at www.styleengineers.org . Weekly sessions in the SewGreen studio feature projects, activities, and creative explorations in fashion, sewing, and what's involved in designing clothing. To mix things up a little, some sessions will be reserved for open sews and getting help with individual projects. Preregistration and confirmation of attendance are required, so we know how many "style engineers" to expect. Every Friday, 6 to 8 pm. NOTE: Enrollment in Style Engineers is currently at full capacity. Ask to be put on the waiting list!
